What We Believe

~We believe in the Bible-God's Holy Word. We believe God inspired the original writings and those are without error. Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105

~We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. It teaches us how to honor God, recognize and correct                                disobedience and follow God faithfully. Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18, 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12

~We believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

~We believe in God the Father, creator of all things visible and invisible. He continues to sustain His creation as He works to fulfill His plan to save humanity. Genesis 1:1, 1:26-27, 3:22; Matthew 3:16, 16:15-16; 28:19; John 14:9-10; Acts 17:24-28; Ephesians 4:6; Hebrews 11:3

~We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, Savior of the world. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and gave himself as a perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross. Three day after His death He arose from the grave showing His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return to earth to judge the living and the dead. Matthew 1:18, 24:36-42; Luke 22:67-70; John 1:1-5, 3:16; 1 John 4:9; 2 Peter 3:18

~We believe the Bible teaches that a man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus. Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23

~We believe the Bible teaches that salvation, forgiveness of sins, is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. Matthew 26:28;
Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7

~We believe the Bible teaches that one receives grace by putting their faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of their sins, confessing their belief in Jesus Christ and being immersed into Jesus Christ and living a life committed to His service. This salvation is a gift of God and is not
earned in any way. Romans 5:1-2, 10:9; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19, 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9; Matthew 10:32

~We believe the Holy Spirit is one with God and Jesus Christ. He is active in this world and dwells in every Christian, helping us understand spiritual truth so we can be obedient to God. John 14:16-17; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 5:5; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16

~We believe in the "Church" of Jesus Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost and consisting of all Christians everywhere. The Bible instructs believers to gather together for fellowship, worship, prayer, teaching of the Scriptures, regular observance of the Lord's Supper (Communion). Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12:1-13; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31
